About Us
Budmother is a family initiative that keeps us happy & high. Of course we do normal things like family meals & communicate with understanding. But….clearly, we are not an ordinary family… I guess… but a family that eats together, prays together & spliffs together… Stays together. Grasshopper was born in 2023 by 2 brothers:
Ra’ees & Ismail. Later the boys rebranded to The Budmother, in honour of their mom Taz. At 1st, Mama Taz was not too comfortable with the stigma’s associated to cannabis until the boys educated her on it’s benefits medically & socially. Mama T was a tough tree to break. She needed to test it herself to confirm her boys testimonies. She then went viral replacing her masala dabba with a ganja dabba. And Budmother set the wheels in motion teaching folks more about the magical plant. Mama Taz, together with her betterhalf, also known as everyones nana, Ra’ees, Ismail and her daughters Noorain & Leah embarked on a journey in changing the narrative on cannabis in their community. Like most families, our personalities also differ like sativa, indica & hybrid. Lol. We have the loud, the quiet & the in-between but our bond is unbreakable. The family have created a safe space for canna-lovers that includes bud, pre-rolls, oils, gels, edibles & drinks.
Cannabis contains CBD which is a chemical that impacts the brain, making it function better without giving it a high along with THC which has pain relieving properties. Both substances can be extracted and enhanced for use through short path distillation. Benefits include managing chronic pain, like cancer & arthritis, weight loss & anxiety, menopause, low libido amongst many other challenges. In our endeavour to educate communities on the plants benefits as opposed to it’s unforgiving stigma’s, we host monthly events that support it’s education.
It’s a space where the family’s love & passion has extended in making the family bigger. Where stories & sentiments are shared. Where networking has grown & business ideas are shared & created. Where sharing and caring is inherent. Where chaos becomes calm.
No judgement is cast. Inclusion is exercised & above all respect is exercised. It is your home away from home & having a mom & dad who listen & don’t judge makes it a safer space.
